Giant flagpole is taken down ritually and replaced by a new one in Tarpoche.Colorful flagpole is raised in height and pointed towards famous Gyandrak monastery. Music come from long trumpets, conch cells and other ancient musical instruments are played for this ceremony. Monks in the monastery perform some rituals. The flagpole should stand straight otherwise it is believed that some bad things might happen in Tibet. On this holy occasion, pilgrimage visit many temples, monasteries and pray by lightening butter lights and find peace within their mind.
